Meet Bekah
Bekah is the founder of Swim with Bekah and brings a lifetime of experience and love for the water to every lesson she teaches.
She swam competitively for 12 years in Baton Rouge and began teaching swim lessons at just 17 years old. From early on, she discovered not only a passion for swimming, but a calling to teach. During her age-group swim team years, she trained alongside her now husband, who later swam for LSU — a shared foundation that deepened her appreciation for disciplined technique and the joy of the sport.
By adding exposure to survival swim training and self-rescue methodologies to her traditional background, Bekah expanded her approach beyond standard stroke instruction. Today, she blends survival-based principles with technically refined swim mechanics to build confident floaters, capable self-rescuers, and skilled swimmers.
Today, she blends survival-based principles with traditional swim team technique, creating a comprehensive and thoughtful teaching approach. Her lessons are designed to build confident floaters, strong self-rescuers, and skilled swimmers with beautiful, efficient technique.
Bekah is proud and grateful to serve the families of Ascension Parish and the surrounding areas. She remains committed to continual growth — studying evolving teaching methods and skill development to ensure Swim with Bekah remains one of the most experienced and knowledgeable swim lesson providers in the state.
Her goal is simple: to help children not only learn to swim safely, but to love the water for a lifetime.
